It's Dark Over Here

My little nephew “FaceTimed” me the other day to give me a tour of his big, new home. He walked boldly to an area where the lights were off and said to me, “It’s dark over here, but God’s going to guide me. I’m going to let God guide me until I die.”

I don’t know what possessed a 7-year old to tell me that, but it was something I needed to hear. He reminded me to remain humble and walk as a child (Matthew 18:3); to walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7) and to be brave and let go of fear (Joshua 1:9).

Without question, the days are dark now.  If we want to successfully navigate through this season we must stay humble like a child who depends on the guidance of a parent; lean solely on God to guide us and be brave enough to walk by faith. He is with us everywhere we go. (Thanks for the reminder, nephew! I owe you a Lego set). 😬

    1. The words from the mouth of a child. This reminded and encouraged me causing me to look through a different window with a smile.

      Thank you and continually praying.

  1. God can use anyone even a child, a homeless person, etc to deliver a word to us. We have to be willing to receive.
